Fiskville


Fiskville is a locality in the Shire of Ballan on the Yaloak Creek. It is situated on the Geelong-Ballan Road in Victoria, about 70km west-northwest of Melbourne at an elevation of approximately 446m above sea level.

Fiskville is known for its CFA Training College. The college was located on the site of the old beam wireless shortwave transmitter, about 10 kilometres south of Ballan. The facility was closed permanently in March 2015, following the detection of contaminated water on the site, and claims that the site is a cancer cluster.
