It was back in 2011, when Angelshere (along with Deadahead) introduced me to this thing called Geocaching. I remember well competing with her son GoldenDragon00, in finding caches, "I found one" "Well I have three!" "Wait, you found three already?" Shortly after, the game was on!! Little did I know then how this competition would eventually become a passion of both Angelshere and mine. Today we set out and found my #700 cache! I placed this cache here because it was the location of a previous cache that marked the beginning of so many great outings, memories and fun days spent Geocaching. To honor the original cache CO, mmacgown, the description below is hers.
St.Brigid's R.C. Church is Nassau County's first catholic church. 600 Catholics came to the first mass in 1851. St. Brigid's was dedicated by Bishop John Laughlin, first bishop of Brooklyn. (It would be just over a century -- 1957 -- before the Diocese of Rockville Centre would be created.)
St. Brigid's is a beautiful church surrounded by Holy Rood Cemetary. While there stroll around the grounds
The cache is a nano. BYOP.
