Attend this official 2016 annual Cache In Trash Out event to earn a Geocaching profile souvenir and a more beautiful Maryland!
ALL ARE WELCOME TO JOIN US, RAIN OR SHINE!
We're gathering at the Baltimore Humane Society to help clean up trash, meet fellow cachers, and share caching stories. Restrooms, a large paper recycling bin, a large dumpster, latex gloves, and trash bags will be available. Everyone is encouraged to bring water, snacks, tick spray, and anything else they may need for one little hour that will make a BIG difference for our community.
At last year's CITO, we were able to collect a few dozen trash bags, several tires, a busted laptop, countless cigarettes and alcohol containers, and a rusted car door. Together, let's rise to challenge pollution once again and help this wonderful facility that helps homeless animals.
Every volunteer, including children, must complete a BHS volunteer waiver. Sorry, no personal pets allowed.
If there's rain or other inclement weather that might dampen your volunteer spirit, please consider buddying up with other attendees so one person can hold an umbrella while the other picks up litter. You may even make a new friend!
Finally, please remember to sign the log before you leave. We'll have the log and a pen on us during the event. If you haven't met us before, our photo is on our profile, and I (Gally) have a Travel Bug tattoo on my right forearm, so just keep an eye out for us. Feel free to discover me and even take a photo of my ink, but please edit out the tracking code before sharing it with others... lest I smite thee.
