Geocache Description:

This Geocaching adventure happens in Central Park Bandar Utama which is located just opposite the New Wing of 1 Utama Shopping Centre.
It is an ideal place to relax or simply take a stroll in the early morning or in the evening.
There are plenty of trees and greeneries besides two lakes for your recreational needs.
So if you are tired of walking in the shopping mall, you can always take a break there...

A terrible tragedy
(This story is purely fictional, any resemblance to actual individuals or events is coincidental)

Years ago, at the time the park of 1 Utama had just been achieved, there was a little girl named Mei who liked to explore this new wonderful area.

It was a place full of mysteries for her and as she was a kid with a vivid imagination, she was always making up new stories and games for fun.

One of her favourite activity was to lean over the lake and try to beat her own reflection at rock-paper-scissors (and she was pretty sure that she would win sooner or later).

But one day, unfortunately, she was playing with so much passion that she stumbled and felt into the water.

Mei was still very young and she didn't know how to swim well... so, without anyone noticing, the water wrapped her body with her sweet coldness.

When they realised their daughter was not coming back, Mei's parents asked the police for help.

Research were conducted, agents looked all over the park to find any sign of the little girl and when they finally found her, it was already far too late.

Many people cried... they cried a lot... a rain of tears... that was a very sad day!

Time passed and people living around the park were just starting to get their lives back when strange rumours began to circulate.

First, it was a jogger who said he heard voices while he was running around the lake in the morning.

Shortly after, some kids were returning from school through the park, when they started to scream and run in all directions after they realised they were earing a girl's voice while they were only boys in their group.

Then, it didn't take long before the verdict arrives...

Only a few days later, The Sun (one of the most famous newspapers in Kuala Lumpur) titled in front page:
Central Park Bandar Utama is haunted by a ghost!

So, after this fateful day when Mei had gone, the place was the focus of the whole city again.

Curious observers, experts of all kinds, psychics, policemen... everyone was giving his own opinion about the situation.

They run many tests, they took samples almost everywhere, they examined everything closely; but finally, after hours of research, they found nothing.

Or almost nothing, because just before the night falls, a really strange phenomenon happened.

Everyone was packing up his stuff, dissatisfied to leave the park empty-handed, when suddenly, the sky grew darker, wind began to blow very hard and a scary high-pitched sound emerged from nowhere.

People were so frightened that nobody was moving anymore...

It was like a bad dream!

When the wind ceased and the noise disappeared, people were looking at each other, in a daze.

Then, all of a sudden, it was a joyful mess... everybody started to run around.

Most of the people were running to escape from this cursed place whereas some of them were just excited, trying to know if this singularity had been recorded.

However, this enthusiasm quickly gave way to disappointment and frustration when they came to their senses and realised that almost all their equipments were already packed, ready to be transported.

For a short moment, it was like the sky had fallen on them!

Then, while everybody thought there was no hope anymore, like a flash of lightning at night someone cried out: "I found something!"

After several unsustainable minutes, miraculously, they had found what they were looking for... an audio device was still recording.

And here is what they collected:

     Scary Sound

Obviously, after this episode, nobody could doubt anymore that the park was haunted... but this information didn't get them anywhere!

Because despite all the efforts of the best malaysian linguists, no one was able to understand this weird language they had heard on that evening.

Maybe something was hidden in the message...

In any case, up to now, the mystery remains to be elucidated!

Now it's time for you to play geocachers!

For this geocache, there's some things you need to know before you embark on your outdoor adventure:

- First, and one of the most important things, you'll have to bring an AA battery with you during your research or else it will make this game much more difficult.
And as this adventure may require wading, I also suggest you to bring along some old shoes or rubber boots to avoid any inconvenience.

- Then, just know that there will be 3 stages before you can open the final cache and the first one needs to be solved at home.
- All these stages include puzzles so prepare yourself to give your brain a workout.
- And if I can give you an advice, above all, don't forget to check the hints.

- And finally, try to be as stealthy and cautious as you can.
- There are always many muggles prowling around the park and the equipment I used to prepare this cache can be fragile, so... I'm counting on you my dear colleagues!

And please, when you're finished playing, don't forget to put back the things exactly as they were when you found them...
The survival of this cache depends on it!

  Good luck geocachers!

PS : It's always pleasant to see a picture (or more) in the logs...
