Welcome everyone to another installment in my "myTunes" series! This time I will expose your ears to the soothing melodies of an all time favorite: Less Than Jake. The band started way back in 1992 in Gainesville, Florida with lead vocalist and guitarist, Chris DeMakes and drummer and lyricist, Vinnie Fiorello. It still stands strong today as a 5 piece band that derived it's name from Fiorello's dog, Jake, who was treated better than the rest of the household, so everything was "less than Jake". This may be one of the bands that has meant the most to me over the last few decades. I have been up front at their concerts well over 25 times and their lyrics helped me through some of the darkest times of my life. I innocently stumbled onto them on the radio one night when an independent DJ with a urge to share their music with the world decided to break from the norm and play a couple of songs by this unknown band that he had discovered and fallen in love with. Now I hope to do the same for you.
Over the span of it's career, Less Than Jake have released 8 full length albums and more EPs, singles, cover songs and compilations than you can shake a stick at. They even decided on a whim to cover the entire "Grease" soundtrack at one time, just for kicks. This puzzle will only be concerned with their actual albums. Make sure you keep that in mind or you are sure to run off course somewhere along the line as many of their songs appear in more than one place. Below, as usual, you will find the lyrics to some of the Less Than Jake songs that I identify with most or have had special meaning to me. The coordinates can be obtained by figuring out the track number of each song on the album from which it appeared. Take these numbers and replace them in the corresponding spots to come up with your final answer. If you happen along a track 10 somewhere, just try zero.
