PART ONE: will be held at Jordan Park's southwest pavilion from 8am–9am (OJ & pastries provided), at the posted coordinates. Giveaway to be promptly held at 8:30am, so make sure you get your ticket from girl_friday (one per person in attendance) and drop it in the ticketbox BEFORE 8:30am. Must be present to win, please!
PART TWO: is the actual CLEANUP to be held from 9am–Noon, coordinates provided below as the "Final Location/Checkered Flag". A more substantial breakfast is a part of this second stage, and is provided by the Bend-in-the-River event coordinators from the U's Bennion Center. So far, I've given a rough headcount of 10-15 volunteers. More are welcome, of course!
- Volunteers will be working on a variety of projects such as weeding, removal of invasive species, trash cleanup, and much more. Please feel free to pack an old shovel/rake/hoe in your vehicle, just in case their supply of tools runs lean. There are usually enough tools to go around/borrow for the morning's tasks.
- Please BYO: filled, reusable water bottle, sturdy work gloves and proper sun protection (a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses). You W-I-L-L get dirty, so plan accordingly, and please dress for the weather (IT WILL BE COLD, partly sunny - wear clothing you can get muddy in, recent weather will make the Bend-in-the-River grounds rather saturated). FYI: This volunteer event happens rain or shine!
- Due to the nature of work, children under 18 MUST be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

If you can only attend the first hour of this event, you certainly will get credit for attendance - MAKE SURE YOU SIGN THE HUGE LOG SHEET, and I encourage you to take some complimentary trash bags with you to CITO throughout the rest of your day. Posted pics by EVERYONE highly encouraged!
This CITO is very well organized thanks to the University of Utah's Bennion Center -- they organize this community cleanup every Earth Day!
