Hidden on top of the picturesque Urangan Pier which was opened in 1917. It is a former deep-water, cargo-handling facility originally built to facilitate the export of sugar, timber and coal. Originally it was constructed to a length of 1107 metres but in 1985 the pier was closed and 239 metres of it was demolished.
However due to public outcry 868 metres of the pier was saved and was handed over to the local council. Now it is an icon of the region being very popular with fisherman and for scenic walks with fantastic views of Fraser and other local islands.
The cache is not near the emergency area/ladder, there is no need to lean precariously over the edge and do NOT show the camo when posting a photo.
