Moonee Beach has beautiful picnic grounds and they are a lovely place to stop and spend some time with family and/or friends soaking up the beautiful sunshine in this very relaxing atmosphere. Parking is available, as well as BBQ’s facilities, toilets and there are many nice areas to setup up in the shade too. So you can sit back, relax and enjoy a nice swim in these waters. You can also enjoy the scenery of where this estuary meets the ocean too. Located at the end of the parking lot is an old wooden foot bridge, which takes you up too Green Bluff / Moonee Beach Headland. Once you have crossed this bridge and are making your climb upwards, you will soon come across a boardwalk. Not long into the boardwalk you will soon come across GZ. The Cache is a small container about the size of a fish oil container and is a few metres off the boardwalk to your left. There are a lot of trees about, so it may take time for your GPS to settle. Stealth mode will still be required, as it can be a busy place at times with people doing this walk for the awesome views.
