Video games have grown a lot since the earliest video games were developed in the 50's and 60's. Now, the game industry is just as big as the other entertainment media, with its own big-time gamemakers and indie developers. This series is meant to celebrate great video games of all kinds, from all times.
Luigi's Mansion was one of Nintendo's launch titles for the Nintendo Gamecube, the first Nintendo console to use disks instead of cartridges. Unlike previous consoles, which launched with a Super Mario title, the Gamecube launched with a game starring Mario's much maligned brother Luigi. Luigi teams up with Professor E Gadd to collect all the ghosts in a haunted mansion, where Mario has been captured by King Boo.
