This is the middle part of Dutch's Trail, between County Line Road and Tie Down Trail. There are many open vistas and a lot of exposure to sun from the South. In Spring and Summer this can be a fairly tough hike, but rewarded by the view and wildflowers along the way.
For your hike be sure to bring at least 3 litres of water, energy foods, sunscreen and be sure people know where you are going and when you are expected back. This is Coe's Back Country, where visitors are infrequent.
