Coastal walk between Bervie to Johnshaven.
This is the end of Johnshaven, carry on if you want to go towards St-Cyrus.
Lime kilns to the south of Johnshaven Kincardineshire.
During late 18 & early 19th century lime was quarried close to the kilns.
The lime was deposited in to the top of the kiln and fires lit at the bottom to burn of the inpuritys in the lime.
The lime was then carried down the coast and loaded on to boats and sent south.
During the second world war the structue was converted and used by the home guard, as a look out.
PLEASE PUT THE CACHE BACK IN THE RIGHT PLACE Thanks...
