A New Day Traditional Cache

sunflowersu: Checked on this yesterday, May 14, 2025. It was no place around. Area is being used more, more burial sites, trail in the wooded area is being used more, limbs broken off trees. It isn't a very good hiding spot anymore. Nine (9) years ago when it was hidden, it was a secluded out of the way spot, but since then they put a gravel road in and are starting to bury people in that section. Time to remove it permanently. It was a good hide while it lasted. I hate to remove it because it was in memory of my mother (9 years ago), but it is time.

Geocache Description:

Driving slowly through this large well-maintained cemetery, one will see a variety of markers including different shapes, styles and sizes. There are many large mature trees and a creek passing through part of the cemetery.  At least five caches have been placed already; one with multiple stages.  I have been considering placing a new one for almost three years.  Today is the day:  A New Day!

Driving slowly (15 miles per hour) and respectfully is a major consideration.  You will drive (or walk, if you choose; many people walk for exercise through this cemetery) from the entrance on W. Main Street through the complete length of the cemetery, until you can drive no further.  During your journey along the road, when you come to a sign with an arrow pointing to the right, follow the road to the right (it will circle around at the back of the cemetery).  I hope you will enjoy this trip through the grounds and appreciate the beauty of the land and variety of man-made structures.  Enjoy this day!
