BBH#100! Bordering on a Second Century Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

Simply Paul: Slightly late on archiving this - sorry. Busy busy - and another thanks to all those who attended. The second century of BBH events is already well underway and I think everyone what was here has logged. Don't forget to pull out any TBs or coins which may still be logged in

And, in case you see this, be sure to vote for the first National Geocaching Awards being held at the Geolympix at the end of July! - Or if you have already, thank you! [:)]

Geocache Description:

**Now with added Pub Quiz! A new format. You'll have buzzers..!**

When: Thursday, April 14th, from 7.00pm 'til 10pm

Where: The Travellers Rest, Tring Road, Edlesborough. Bedfordshire LU6 2EE. Tel. 01525 221841. The pub does usual pub stuff and is close to the border between Beds, Bucks and Herts (hence BBH) which is why it was used for BBHs 8, 20, 34, 51 & 58. No harm in going back to this popular BBH venue though.

Why: Alibags made me do it ;) (She'd planned to host the 100th but passed the torch when real-life got in the way)

Who: Cachers from Bucks, Beds, Herts and beyond. New to caching or cache events? You'll be made especially welcome.

What: This is the 100th of an ongoing series of mid-monthly-ish, mid-week-ish regular events at various locations, handy for natives of the three counties to talk caching, plan expeditions, swap TBs/geocoins and decide who's organising the next one if that's not already been done. Very much open to all cachers, the venue is kid-friendly.

History lesson: The regular BBH events began on the 20th of Febuary 2008 at a meet outside Leighton Buzzard. They were a reaction to various monthly meets (often hosted by the same cachers - i.e. The Teddies who host their 100th meet in May - and/or in the same place) which were appearing at the time. Alibags, The Other Stu and Simply Paul all said they were thinking of setting a BBH-area meet up and so the format (not unlike when Angus Deayton was replaced by guest hosts on HIGNFY) of rotating hosts was settled upon. Many others have hosted the meets though, and you can explore past BBH events via HHHP20's Bookmark list

Also: Don't miss the near-by Geolympix Mega event on Sunday, July 31st!
