Introducción
¡Bienvenido a Galve, tierra de dinosaurios!
Hoy os propongo hacer una salida diferente apta para todo tipo de público donde con algunos Earthcaches en la zona podréis viajar a través de millones de años y ver cómo vivían los habitantes que poblaron la tierra durante el Jurásico y el Cretáceo.

Galve es un lugar privilegiado por las rocas que conforman su territorio, formadas en ambientes costeros y continentales del Jurásico Superior y Cretáceo Inferior, albergan un importante registro fósil de vertebrados continentales (por cantidad, calidad y diversidad), el cual ilustra fielmente los ecosistemas terrestres de ese momento de la historia de la Tierra y convierte a Galve en uno de los lugares más apreciados y reconocidos de Europa a nivel paleontológico.
Junto a huellas, huevos y huesos fósiles de dinosaurio se han encontrado en Galve restos de reptiles voladores, anfibios, peces, plantas e incluso mamíferos.
El Parque Paleontológico de Galve, creado en 1993, está integrado por el Museo Municipal Paleontológico, los Yacimientos de Icnitas, las Maquetas de Dinosaurios y el recientemente incorporado Legendark.
El Yacimiento
Te encuentras actualmente en el yacimiento de Las Cerradicas que se encuentra al lado de la carretera de entrada a la localidad de Galve. Aquí se pueden observar más de 40 icnitas que fueron realizadas por X dinosaurios carnívoros y otra por un herbívoro.
La edad del yacimiento es del X, y por tanto similar a la cronología que tienen los yacimientos de Tierras altas de Soria que forman parte de la Ruta de las Icnitas.


Rastro y comportamiento
El yacimiento está compuesto por una parte de rastros de pequeños dinosaurios carnívoros, que bien podrían ser ejemplares juveniles o bien adultos de pequeño tamaño. Estos rastros son paralelos y se han formado al mismo tiempo, por lo cual representan un interesante caso de gregarismo en dinosaurios carnívoros. En la mayor parte de los yacimientos conocidos las huellas de estos dinosaurios suelen estar aisladas, lo que indica que en general tenían un comportamiento solitario. Las Cerradicas junto al yacimiento soriano de Fuentesalvo son los únicos yacimientos en el mundo donde se ha registrado este comportamiento.

El otro rastro es de un dinosaurio herbívoro de pequeño tamaño. Su interés radica en que el productor era un dinosaurio ornitópodo apoyando las "patas" delanteras. Entre los ornitópodos se encuentran los iguanodóntidos, dinosaurios muy abundantes en materiales más modernos que los Cerradicas.
Formación del yacimiento
Los estratos en los que se han encontrado las huellas se formaron en una llanura mareal y por tanto muy cercana a la línea de costa. Por la posición de los rastros respecto a las rizaduras fosilizadas en la superficie de la roca, podemos saber que el ornitópodo se desplazaba aproximadamente paralelo a X. Sin embargo los carnívoros lo hacían perpendicular a ella y en dirección hacia el agua. El comportamiento de andar paralelo X es muy común en los yacimientos de pisadas de dinosaurios, sin embargo la dirección de los carnívoros es más inusual. Es imposible conocer la razón de este comportamiento, ya que podrían existir muchas posibilidades, una de las cuales podría ser que fueran a pescar en aguas costeras de poca profundidad o simplemente fuesen a refrescarse de las altas temperaturas.

Introduction

Welcome to Galve, land of dinosaurs!
Today I propose you a different outing suitable for all audiences where, with some Earthcaches of the area, you can travel through millions of years and see how the inhabitants that populated the earth during the Jurassic and Cretaceous lived.
Galve is a privileged place by the rocks that form its territory, formed in coastal and inland environments of the Upper Jurassic and Lower Cretaceous, contain an important fossil record of continental vertebrates (for quantity, quality and diversity), which faithfully illustrates terrestrial ecosystems of that moment in the history of the Earth and makes of Galve one of the most appreciated and recognized paleontological site of Europe.
Along with footprints, eggs and fossil bones of dinosaur, remains of flying reptiles, amphibians, fish, plants and even mammals have been found in Galve.
The Paleontological Parkof Galve, created in 1993, is composed of the Municipal Paleontological Museum, the ichnite sites, models of dinosaurs and the recently joined Legendark.

The site
You are currently located at the site of Las Cerradicas located next to the entrance road to the town of Galve. Here you can observe more than 40 footprints that were performed by X carnivorous dinosaurs and one herbivore.
The age of the reservoir is X, and thus similar to the chronology that have the sites of Tierras altas de Soria that are part of the Route of the Icnitas.
Trail and behavior
The site consists of a part of traces of small carnivorous dinosaurs, which could well be juvenile or small adults. These traces are parallel and have formed at the same time, which represent an interesting case of gregariousness in carnivorous dinosaurs. In most of the known sites the footsteps of these dinosaurs are often isolated, indicating that in general they had a solitary behavior. The Cerradicas and the site of Soria, Fuentesalvo, are the only sites in the world where there has been this behavior.

The other trail is from a small herbivorous dinosaur. His interest is that the producer was a dinosaur ornithopod supporting its front legs. Among ornithopods there are the iguanodontids, abundant dinosaurs in more modern materials than Cerradicas’.

Formation of the site
The strata in which they found traces formed in a tidal flat and therefore very close to the coastline. From the position of traces regarding the fossilized ripples on the surface of the rock, we can know that the ornithopod moved approximately parallel to X. However carnivores moved perpendicular to it and toward the water. The behaviour of walking parallel to X is very common in the deposits of dinosaur footprints, however the management of carnivores is more unusual. It is impossible to know the reason for this behaviour, as there could be many possibilities, one of them could be that they were fishing in shallow coastal waters or were simply to cool off from the high temperatures.
