One Room School series.
CACHE: Cords might be slightly off, find shouldn't be too difficult. Be sure to put container back together. Camoed metal tube about 5" in size. Not winter friendly. Might need extraction tool. If you can't get log out you can message me with the 4 digits you see nearby as your signature. This is an experimental container. I have more. I'm curious as how they hold up.
HISTORY: Not much is know about this little school located south of this cache at the corner, address 3489 Muir Road. The original location was on the opposite corner (southeast). A gentleman who attended the school said it was moved but was unsure of why. The Muir School was established prior to 1863 and used through the 1940's, early 1950's. For many years it served as a home. The school was named after the Muir Family who originally settled in Almont, and as the family grew they moved into Imlay and Lapeer. They are well-known in pioneer days for their furniture and mortuary business, and today they still own 3 local funeral homes. They were also successful farmers.
