Waingroves Community Woodland Trust purchased 12.75 acres of local woodland in June 2011, saving the woods from development. Around £20,000 was donated by 140 villagers to save the woods and the area is looked after by volunteers (see waingroveswood.com). This area is popular with dogs walking their muggles and makes for a beautiful, peaceful walk for nature-lovers.
To access the woods, I recommend parking on Codnor Denby Lane and taking the lane going towards Searson House Farm (roughly opposite the Marquis of Ormonde). Alternatively, go along Pitt Lane off Waingroves road (although parking may be limited).
This is a nano cache.
