Geocache Description:

Calling Baton Rouge, such a powerful song performed by the great Garth Brooks. This location was a perfect place to commemorate the song. Ample parking, park and grab.

"Callin' Baton Rouge" written by Dennis Linde, originally recorded by the Oak Ridge Boys and covered by a band called New Grass Revival in 1989 and by Garth Brooks on his album In Pieces in 1993.

Considered a love song about a man who met a woman called Samantha the night before and is trying to get ahold of her "every 100 miles callin' Baton Rouge." This location provided an interesting connection to the song, has a great view of main street Moriarty, and is a great place to stop, rest, and make a call.

Ample parking, park and grab.
