Geocache Description:

The Hitchhiker's guide to Uranus

Hello there.

My name is Marvin, the Paranoid Android. Some of you may know me and I know all about you. I am a failed prototype of the GPP (Genuine People Personalities) project: a robot afflicted with severe depression and boredom, in part because I have a brain the size of a planet. I'm bored to do anything.

Arthur Dent, a mere human 50,000 times dumbest than me, told me that it could be a good idea to go on a vacation and to try to think of positive things... What an idiot... But I don't have anything else to do, so why not ... I just saw on the interspaceweb an ad for a "Guided Tour of Uranus". I never went there, maybe that would be the place to go. But I'm bored! Because I need to participate to a contest and win the tickets...

Would you please help me get those tickets? In exchange, I'll give you the coordinates of this little box...

  • A - How many novels are there in the H2G2 trilogy?
  • B - How many heads have Zaphod BeebleBrox?
  • C - What is the surname of the writer of the electronic guide "The Hitchhiker's Guide  to the Galaxy"?
  • D - How many humans survive the destruction of planet Earth?
  • E - Which alien race is responsible for the destruction of planet Earth?
  • F - Before leaving a large crater, the whale meets his closest friend. What is his name?
  • G - A bowl of petunias meets as well this little guy. What was the last thing the bowl said?
  • H - What is the name of the designer of the new planet Earth?
  • I - What is the name of the day celebrated every year on 25 may ?

To win those tickets, you have to find the code name, constructed as follow : G1 C6 A4 E1 I8 H1 H7 H7 I8.
To decode it, for each couple XY, you have to take the Yth letter of the Xth answer (no space).
Then, when you have all the letters, use the ROT13 cipher to find the final code.

Remember, don't panic and bring your towel !
