Geocache Description:

This will be held at the local ice cream stand, 4-5pm on Sunday, April 10th. Come find me at one of the tables to sign the log book. You are under no obligation to purchase anything.

The stand has limited hot food, but does have a portajohn. The general store across the road has a deli, hoagies, pizza, etc. They also have gas & diesel and other misc items.

There are over 200 geocaches located within 3 miles of the event, and hopefully a couple of us will be able to get a few more set to pop up before or during the event. Come join us just for the event or come and cache all day. There are caches of all types close by so there is something for everybody.

As of 4/03/16, we have at least 10 new caches set to publish on April 10th within 2-3 miles of Widnoon. Plus there will be some other new ones published prior to the event a few miles further away.

You will be within 2-3 miles of over 150 caches on 2 connecting rail trails - the Redbank Valley Trail (RVT) and the Armstrong Trail. All trails have an improved surface of some sort so you can either hike or bike. In 2014 the RVT was named as PA's Trail of the Year.

You'll be within 1 mile of over 30 caches in state game lands - most don't require any bushwacking, there are a couple of challenge caches, and there are a couple with a higher D or T rating.

There are also over 20 other caches scattered through out the immediate area, many of which are fairly quick P&Gs.

There is also a 5/5, GC3VT8F - Stranded, located on the RVT.
