Rowsburg Cemetery Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Team Hugapug63: After a field inspection this afternoon, we have confirmed that the cache along with its host of the past 4.5 years have been removed. It is with great sadness that must therefore archive this listing. Maybe someday we will be able to place another cache nearby. Thanks to all those who have found this cache in the past.

Geocache Description:

The tiny town of Rowsburg was laid out by Michael D. Row in 1835 in Perry Township. The area was abundant with deer, raccoons, and wild turkeys; early settlers also found ginseng, which was worth 25 cents a pound. Native Americans also had encampments nearby. The first grist/sawmill in Ashland County was established by John Raver just a quarter mile north of Rowsburg in 1818 in an area now known as Raver's Run.

Permission was granted for this hide. Daylight caching only; no need to disturb any graves. No room for tradeables; BYOP. Cache on!
