Geocache Description:

Village signs is a series of caches based on the ornate signs that depict the heritage, history and culture of the villages that put them up (normally on the village green!).

The signs can be made of different materials from fibreglass to  wood, from forged steel to stone. They can depict anything from local industry to historical events. The tradition probably stated in Norfolk or Suffolk and has now spread across most of the country so we thought we would base a series on them!

Old Warden is located in the countryside between Bedford and Shefford. The village has a population of 275.

The village is noted for being the home of n agricultural college, a preserved collection of aircraft (most of which are still able to fly).

The sign, like many is double sided. The front focuses on buildings and the rear on vehicles.

Finding the cache will require a little research before visiting the village (or you can do it in the village on your phone). Amongst the non-human residents of the village is the world's oldest airworthy aircraft. This was built in the year ABCD.

Now you can find the final cache at N52° 04.B(B-A)(D-A) W000° 20.(B-D+A+2)(B-6)(C+D-2))

It is a film pot.

Happy caching!

If anybody would like to expand this series please do. I would just ask that you let Smokeypugs know first so they can keep track of the Village Sign numbers and names to avoid duplication.

Congratulations to mr+mrs minion on being First To Find.
