This is one of my favourite places to visit it is always beautiful at any time of the year and its not just about all the wonderful colours and varieties of roses in the garden but about the heavenly smell as soon as you step through the gates. This garden has been here for quite a few years now and is completely taken care of by volunteers, you can really appreciate the hard work they put in to keep the garden well tended and the attention to detail from the way the roses are planted so that the colours are in groups to the plaques on each garden bed telling you the name of the rose planted there. There are some nice sculptures and several seats to sit and take in the aroma and tranquility of the garden. There is also a large gazebo in the centre which is perfect for a picnic, just remember to take all your rubbish with you, there is a bin just outside the garden. At the front gates there is a collection tin for any donations you may give to assist the volunteers in keeping the garden as beautiful as they do. There are a few other places nearby to see as well, there is a gallery next to the garden and a small park nearby as well as a popular leash free area for the geodogs so there are plenty of other things to check out. Please note there is no need to go into any of the garden beds to retrieve the cache, please place it back EXACTELY where you found it so others can enjoy finding it as much as you did! This is a family friendly place so there are no dangerous areas to worry about but just to cover all the bases a small warning to remind you that roses have thorns so keep an eye on the kids just in case, this garden is also extremely appealing to bees so if you are allergic just remember there will be a lot of them in the garden and keep in mind that sometimes the bees burrow right into the rose so you may not see them when you go to sniff a flower, I dont want to hear that someone has had a bee sting them on the nose!
This is our first hide so hopefully it's a good one, it should'nt be too hard to find if you use your geosenses but mostly I hope others will love this garden as much as we do!
