We placed this as our first owned geocache in the Town of Webb (modeled after several we have found elsewhere) in an area of the Central Adirondack region that is very special to us. We come here year around to ski, snowmobile, snowshoe, hike, bike, boat, paddle and geocache.
GZ will bring you to a spot near the border of the twin Hamlets of Thendara and Old Forge, both in the Town of Webb, NY, on the Tobie Trail. You will be near the scenic Middle Branch of the Moose River with views up and downstream. Watch for wildlife. This little village is full of interesting critters, big and small. The cache should be a quick park and grab; however, it may have a slightly higher difficulty rating in the winter months when the snowbanks are high. No need to go into the road. There are multiple places to park just a short walk away from GZ on both sides of the river. Have fun. Enjoy the views, the area and all it has to offer!
