SK/ V katastrálnom území obce Veľká Mača sa nachádza prírodná rezervácia Mačiansky háj. Prírodná rezervácia MAČIANSKY HÁJ bola vyhlásená v roku 1981 a má výmeru 25,33 ha. Je to najzachovalejší zvyšok pôvodných lužných lesov typu Ulmenion na území okresu s bohatým výskytom klokoča perovitého (Staphylea pinnata).
Podľa Zákona NR SR č. 287/1994 Zb. je prírodná rezervácia kategóriou s piatym – najvyšším stupňom ochrany Predstavuje jedno z najvýznamnejších území okresu z hľadiska ochrany prírody, najmä čo sa týka výskytu klokoča perovitého (Staphylea pinnata). Lesné spoločenstvá jaseňovo-brestovo-dubové lužné lesy sa tu vyskytujú v zachovalej forme. V lese sa nachádza celkom rozmanitá flóra (snežienky, medvedí cesnak,..).
V lese sa nachádza aj malé jazero. Dedinčania ho volajú Bíró ta (Richtárové jazero) viaže sa k nej miestna povesť že bývalí richtár bol nenávidený medzi obyvateľmi dediny a tí sa vzbúrili proti nemu. Snažil sa utiecť z dediny a pri úteku vbehol do jazera zo svojím kočom a zadusil sa vo vode aj koňmi. či to je pravda alebo nie to sa nevie ale keď niekomu sa máli hľadanie kešky tak sa môže dať na hľadanie koča.
Keška sa nachádza pri spomínanom jazere. Kam sa dostanete po lesnej ceste po krátkej prechádzke po lese.
