- NOTE: You MUST be heading westbound on Highway 58 to obtain this cache.
- Take care as you are arriving and leaving GZ. The location is a very large turn off...but a little extra vigilance goes a long way.
- Best to visit during daylight hours; visual experience included.
- The Hint is an absolute spoiler. Do not click the Hint if searching is your primary enjoyment.
- Logging Request (not requirement). I would be interested in knowing the city you live in! If you would not mind placing that in your log I would appreciate it.
247° Vista:
I am quite sure that locals drive by GZ with barely a notice. But quite often I see, what I believe, are weary travelers pulling off in this large turn out for a leg stretch...and to enjoy the view.
If you visit during:
- Late Winter/Early Spring you should be delighted with the green hills (a rarity in Kern County) and a bounty full of orange, blue and white wild flowers.
- A late Spring through Summer to Fall visit will demonstrate where gold in the "Golden Empire" is derived.
- Winter you just may catch some snow capped mountains in the not so far distance.
Just a bit about TheDaryl&MelissaShow:
- Our primary goal with any of our Caches is understanding that YOU have taken time to find something important to us. To that end we wish to add value to your GeoExperiance. If we have not earned a Favorite Point please let us know (via log or Message Center) what, if anything, we could have done better.
