Wie es dazu kam, dass die Sandsteinstelen hier aufgestellt wurden und was sie bedeuten, werden wir vermutlich nie erfahren. 2014 sollte dazu eigentlich eine Informationstafel am Körnerplatz aufgestellt werden, doch Karl Blümel, der Künstler, der sie geschaffen hat, sprach sich dagegen aus. Die Steine sollen für und durch sich selbst stehen und wirken. Zumindest stimmte er zu, seinen Namen und das Aufstellungsjahr nachträglich in eine der Stelen zu meißeln. Freut euch über diese ruhige kleine Ecke im ruhigen kleinen Mahlsdorf und würdigt dem Kunstwerk, das nicht unbedingt versteckt ist, aber doch schnell übersehen wird, gerne zwei drei Blicke mehr. Es lohnt sich :]
Bei den angegebenen Koordinaten findet ihr die Sandsteinstelen. Der eigentliche Cache liegt in der Nähe. Um die Koordinaten zu ermitteln, müsst ihr das Aufstellungsjahr von einem Stein ablesen (a), die Stelen durchzählen (b) und die Zahlen in folgende Rechnungen einsetzen:
xxx = a - 1292
yyy = 175 * b - 1
Die Koordinaten des Caches (kleine Tupperdose mit Logbuch) sind:
N 52° 28.xxx' E013°35.yyy'

We’ll probably never find out why the sandstone steles had been set up here and what they mean. An information board addressing these topics was actually about to be put up on Körnerplatz in 2014 but Karl Blümel, the artist who created them, spoke against that. The stones are supposed to stand and speak by and for themselves. At least he agreed on carving his name and the year of erection into the stones retrospectively. Enjoy this small, calm spot in small, calm Mahlsdorf and honour the artwork, easily overlooked though not quite hidden, by looking at it just a little longer. It’s worth it :]
At the given coordinates you’ll find the sandstone steles. The actual cache is nearby. To determine the coordinates you have to read the year of erection off one stone (a), count the steles (b) and solve the following equations:
xxx = a - 1292
yyy = 175 * b - 1
