Mark Where You Park! Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Hack1of2: Most of our cache placements have been in forested areas, far enough off trail so they are not easily spotted by muggles. This one was right in the parking lot, so predictably it's gone missing more than "normal." We've replaced this cache three times. Or is it four? Anyway, time to let this one go. Posting a spoiler picture of what the cache looked like and where it was placed.

Geocache Description:

You're looking for a somewhat unusual micro cache, which is about the only thing that will work with this location!

DON'T FORGET TO MARK WHERE YOU PARK!

Have you ever heard of someone getting lost WITH their GPS receiver? Imagine, going on a hike of perhaps a half mile or more, into the woods, maybe over a stream, eyes continuously glancing at the screen, determined to find that ammo can or fine piece of Tupperware in the woods. At 30 feet or so maybe putting down the GPS and letting your “geo-senses” take you the rest of the way. A brief search. Success! You sign the log, perhaps trade some swag, retrieve or drop off a travel bug or two. Then realize – you have no idea where you parked!

Don’t get lost with a GPSr in hand. Before rushing to get to those published coordinates, pay attention to your surroundings and mark where you parked! One of these days you’ll be glad you did.

Do you have an interesting story regarding parking? You could share it here!
