This geocache is located in Mssici, a little village in the southeast of Marocco on the national route N°12 between Rissani (56 km) and Alnif (34 km). The exact place is the terrain of hostel & camping Azurite by Molay. You are all welcome to discover the unique and beautiful setting and the authentic "Berber" hospitality in a warm and familiar atmosphere far away from any mass tourism.
It was 2004 when Bart and Molay met for the first time. He was visiting Marocco for the tenth time by motorcycle when he got a terrible accident in M'sicci, a until that day unknown little village. Fortunately there was a kind man who had just opened a hotel/campsite where he took him. Abrasions and bruises caused a lot of pain and because there weren't any medicines in the neighborhood back in these days, the two men shared some painkilling drinks. The men had a great night: they talked about their lives, Bart while forgetting his pain and Molay because of the fact that he had a sad amount of seven guests in his hotel the whole year! From this day on the two men became friends. They reunite every year for a couple of days, mostly in Marocco, while Bart is traveling the country with a group (like this year). So in the meantime they have spend many holidays together, sharing feelings, stories and developments. This year it was my turn to join Bart in a diverce group of people. And as a geocacher it was my goal to find some treasures. I told my tourgroup about it and everybody was so enthusiastic! Even from the older men of whom I actually didn't expect they would love it! So when we arrived at Molay's, the idea was born to hide a treasure as a stimulance for geocaching in this region, as a memory of this incredible journey and as a symbol of hospitality which directly refers to our friend Molay. So if you have hunted & found the cache, feel free to take a little rest with a drink and meet these friendly people chez Molay!
