Where the Sidewalk Ends Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

NinjaRock: We've made the decision to archive this one. The container goes missing quite regularly (at least once per year) so it's time to find a better way to put a cache in the vicinity. 171 finds isn't bad for a culvert cache inside town limits, so the location is probably a good one but it needs to be a different kind of cache.

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

A hopefully easy to find cache in an occasionally muggle-infested area.

“It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to.”

.

Now, I'm not sure if hobbits had sidewalks and I doubt Mr. Tolkein was talking about what happens when the sidwalk ends, but geocaching can lead you almost anywhere if you let it.

Granted, the end of this particular sidewalk might not drop you off in Mordor, but you never really know, do you?

Parking should be easy at the side of the road within a few metres of the cache.

When we picked the location, here's what almost Ground Zero looked like. Feel free to show us a different view.

Looking down at ground zero.

Congratulations to Kilroy Returns, KBHalf, and Ferretuncle on the joint FTF! (And it’s nice to know our coordinates were at least close. :)
