Today, I did my 3000th milestone cache. I wanted it to be special and so by walking to the summit of Mnt Tongariro, I thought that would be a cool place to go and get "Get High on Tongariro GC48B62". My 2000th cache was on Mnt Te Aroha and all going well my 4000th will also be on another mountain! The weather was perfect, no rain, just a few clouds and I had excellent company. So I celebrated this event by placing a cache here at the entry to Mangatepopo Rd, which leads to Mnt Tongariro summit and the famous Alpine Crossing and also Mnt Ngauruhoe.
