Geocache Description:

I was driving by here today and thought this location needed a geocache.

While growing up, my dad worked for Bell Helicopter for over 30 years as a Tool Expeditor.  His office was inside the building just South of the checkered water tower you see here at what was known as the "Globe" plant.  I remember they used to have an open house every few years  All of the aircraft were roped off, with signs stating DO NOT TOUCH.  When no one was around, my dad would lift me into the different aircraft.  Hueys, 242s, Super Cobras.  It was pretty cool of him (I have an awesome dad!)

I remember my dad telling me about a custodian that used to talk smack all the time about helicopters.  Finally, one day, one of the test pilots had enough.  He walked in and said "let's go".  The custodian was super-excited.  They put him in the gunner's position of a Super Cobra.  When the pilot took off, he flew along the run way with the nose pointed down just a few feet from the runway.  They rotated up at a steep angle, took a tight turn, and flew out over Eagle Mountain Lake.  After running the guy through some scary maneuvers, he came back in for a pretty dramatic landing.

My dad said that the custodian was shaking so badly and was so scared, it took four guys to get him out of the ship.  He never said another word about flying!

You're looking for a small bison tube.  Easy grab. Be careful of the traffic. I parked at the side of the road with my hazards on and wasn't sure anyone was going to change out of my lane; it was a bit worrisome! BYOP.
