Geocache Description:

**To keep this interesting, if you've been to a drive-in theater, share a fun experience, what you loved most, or name a movie you remember going to see in your log.**

We thought it would be cool to give a small Sherwood history lesson along with this geocache.  Those of us that have been around awhile remember what used to be here.  There were no apartments, no churches, and definitely no retail shopping.  Nope, just a good ole drive-in theater.

Built in the 1950s, Twin City Drive-In theater consisted of two screens with a 500 car capacity lot.  The property spanned from Kiehl Avenue south to Warden Road.  It eventually closed in the 1980s and the white screens stood tall for another decade or so before finally being burned down.

At one point, Arkansas was host to more than 50 drive-in theaters.  Like Twin City, all but 3 are now closed. Those that are interested can find the remaining theaters in Fayetteville, Marshall, and Mountain View.

Out of respect for the location we ask that you don't try to go for this one on Sundays (mostly all day due to their schedule) and Wednesday evenings. Please be stealthy or come back if there are muggles (non geocachers) around to prevent the geocache from being tampered with. If the geocache is in need of attention, please send us a message or post a note in your log.

**Congratulations to Kayla1383 for first to find!**
