For years and years, I have driven by and seen the two caches, Lost it while Fishing and Go Fetch it right off the freeway. I tried once before dark and no luck. I tried once while it was pouring rain and no luck. So today, I set aside two hours and swore I would clear them both. Well I did, and I had a hour to spare, so I went on a little trek to go hide a cache deep back in the wilderness. After trekking through endless berries and nettles, I came across a great little wooded area. For some stupid reason I had a pen in my mouth while looking at the GPS when out of nowhere a deer ran out of the brush right by me. I jumped and somehow bit my lip. At that point I realized the name of the cache.
Now for a little warning...Please wear long pants...I don't care if its 110 degrees. WEAR THEM!!!!! Second of all, expect lots and lots of Stinging Nettle and way more blackberries. Oh yeah, I would also wear solid boots as you will likely get your feet soaking wet, likely past the ankles as well. This is not a quick, have fun rolling n the sunshine, smiling above kind of cache. This is more like, a getting back to the car thankful that I only lost a small amount of blood kind of cache. Like most out here, it won't get found that often, and that is actually what I like. Anyone can get grab caches in guardrails for easy numbers...These are the one where you can actually be proud of what you went through. Enough said...Please cover container with natural camo as good as you can. Enjoy. OH AND WEAR PANTS!!!!
