The Parkend - Whitecroft Round joins the two villages along forest paths and there is on road parking to be found in both villages. Steam trains may be seen on the Dean Forest Railway which is close to the eastern side of the route and there are stations in both villages. Tree cover might affect GPSr accuracy so helpful hints are provided.
Another chance for a rest on a bench and admire the scenery - joke. Still, just crossing the valley of the River Lyd (which was Cannop Brook further north) and then back into the woods. This is a bit unusual because there are two cache containers with a log in each, just for balance . Just sign one and replace symmetrically - you'll understand when you see them. NB. Only one container at the moment as they are prone to being taken!
