Planted for the millennium, this young woodland has its main access from a bridle path extending from the top of School Road; called Red Lane. Enjoy fine views of the Malvern Hills, and historic Evesham from its elavated position. Upon entry to Eoves Wood from School Rd/Red Lane a small copse can be found on the right hand side. Navigate into the copse; inside of which stands the GZ which has been placed with the kind permission of the WOODLAND TRUST.
This circular walk is part of a regular dog walk I take from Hampton with my Geocache finding dog, Max! The Woodland Trust established Eoves Wood (pronounced Eve's Wood) to mark the Millennium and it is well maintained. Although still young woodland, it offers footpaths through the GZ copse and surrounding woodlands where you can explore other nearby hides too. Beyond the small copse, the parkland opens in to a meadow area where you can rest for a while on the two provided benches and take in the stunning views over the Malvern Hills. The ancient market town of Evesham lies below you to the left where from this location you can clearly see the church steeple beyond the rolling fields. This is my first Geocache hide; I hope you enjoy the scenery and the sheer beauty that only nature can provide. Please inform CO when log almost full
