Geocache Description:

Orchard Lane Girl Scout troop 4701 completed their geocaching badge in October 2015.  They loved learning about geocaching and finding them so much that they invested in a travel bug and made their own geocache.  They made swag to include in it and decided together on exactly where it should be hidden.  We would love to watch our bug travel to all the United States!

Girl Scouts began over 100 years ago with one woman, Girl Scouts' founder Juliette Gordon "Daisy" Low, who believed in the power of every girl.  Today we continue the Girl Scout mission of building girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. We're the preeminent leadership development organization for girls.

Orchard Lane Girl Scouts have placed a geocache in Gatewood Park.  A hidden gem of a park with a playground, baseball diamond, soccer field, basketball court and pond nestled in a quiet neighborhood.  The cache is just off the New Berlin Rec Trail which is an important link in the system connecting the Oak Leaf, West Allis Cross Town Connector, Glacial Drumlin and Fox River trails.  It is great for biking or walking.

Permission was given by the Waukesha County Parks Department for the placement of this goecache.
