Geocache Description:

A small sized cache with a view. Waterside location in Poole Harbour.

We have changed the name of this cache in memory of the lovely Ken/Grandy who toddled off to cause havoc in heaven in Feb 2016. He looked like Popeye and always insisted on putting a pound in the tin to pay for his cuppa. Not long after his departure, Beach Hut dog Murphy (the dog who had his tail shot off in the war according to Grandy's Granchildren) followed suit. I'd like to think that they're both hanging around the hut, Ken shaking his tin and Murphy shouting at all the passing dogs. You never know, be still, gaze out across the water, you might just hear them. We have put this geocache in a place where we love to go for a cup of tea with our Nanny and Grandy. If anyone is home, please stop and say hello. You may even get a cuppa yourself if the kettle has just boiled! The property owners are aware of the cache and you have permission to search. Many a summer evening spent here with a bbq and many Boxing Days spent with hot chocolate and sausage bap in hand!!!! This is a great place for kids, dogs and walks. Hamworthy Park has loads to offer including tennis courts, a football pitch,a beach, a playpark, a promenade, a children's paddling pool, a cafe and an outdoor education centre. It is also safe to swim if you fancy a quick dip in the sea. The cache (when placed) has a few little swaps and room for micro trackables. Please trade fairly. You may need to use stealth as there can be lots of muggles on a sunny day. Please see the hint if your gps is wobbly. Please be careful when retrieving and replacing the cache so no damage is done to the hiding place. The area is wheelchair and buggy friendly but you will need help to retrieve the cache. Nearby parking is available on the street and in a small but busy carpark.
