Recently on a trip to the UK, I went to a geocaching event called a "Brummie Meet" in the city of Birmingham. I enjoyed sharing stories and trackables with several locals in a unique pub called the Square Peg. It was at this event that I met a cacher named Blue Nora. She was planning on taking a trip to Hungary the very next day, but still took time out in the evening to show another couple from a neighboring town and myself a little bit of the best of their downtown caches. What fun and memories were made on that brief time shared - a difficulty 5 Puzzle cache, a Multi, a Virtual, and a super tricky hide that filled in a D/T grid square( I learned a new way for a possible future hide on this side of the pond!) Blue Nora with her hospitality and gracious spirit showed that the instant bond of geocaching is definitely cross cultural. Thanks Blue Nora, greetings from America!
