Geocache Description:

Cache In Trash Out® is an ongoing environmental initiative supported by the worldwide geocaching community. Since 2002, geocachers around the world have been dedicated to improving parks and other cache-friendly places. Through these volunteer efforts, we help preserve the natural beauty of our outdoor resources! For the past 13 years, geocachers around the world have celebrated International Cache In Trash Out weekend annually by hosting and participating in Cache In Trash Out Events in their local area. This year, Two weeks will be celebrates in April and September.

What: - CITO. Unique compared to other events, I don’t want you to sit/stand around for too long, there is work to be done! I’m not supplying seating or refreshments this is slave labour! Your reward and incentive is my eternal gratitude combined with that warm fuzzy feeling you get inside when you have done something good and of course the official souvenir! I MIGHT look into an unactivated TB as a prize for the team who collects the most rubbish or the Team who visits the most sites picking up at each.

Where: - Officer/Pakenham - 4 Reference points are attached to this event listing, they are small areas, I believe we can get cleaned up with a bit of elbow grease. The main meeting point to sign the log and collect your bags and gloves are the posted coordinates for this CITO event.

When:- Friday 22nd April 2016. 9:30am -12:30pm. I can hear you all muttering and complaining - This isn’t going to suit you all, my flame suit is on so complain all you like; it suits me and going from the list of CITO events published so far for this souvenir there isn’t much to choose from in the area so belt up and make the necessary arrangements to attend!

FAQs

What should I bring? - A good attitude, some humour and Elbow Grease. Although I will be supplying some Gloves and Bags if you already have some bring them along. Of course bring some water to drink and wash your hands.

What should I wear? - Sturdy footwear, Gloves if you have them (latex gloves provided) and clothing appropriate for all 4 seasons, after all it is Melbourne!

Will there be any FTF’s available on the day? Maybe ;)

What if I break a nail? Suck it up princess! I will have a small first aid kit with me but PLEASE don’t go hurting yourself I’m only a Vet Nurse and I have only practiced CPR on deceased animals.

What if I find syringes or other sharps? Don’t touch them! Record their location, communicate that back to me and we will make a report to the council. Alternatively if you have the Snap Send Solve App on your phone you can use that to report them.
