Geocache Description:

Roadside grab, with a small history lesson not taught in school.

Due to the remoteness of this cache (Only cache within a 100km radius), please take note of the following:

  • The cache may require the log sheet to be replaced, and it is requested that you assist in replacing the log sheet if you are able to.
  • Should the nano go missing, and you are able to replace it with a magnetic, please also assist in doing so if you can.
  • When replacing the log sheet, please take a photo of the old log sheet and add it to the cache photos.
  • I will perform maintenance on this cache when I am in the area (Annually).

At the entrance to the town of Kenhardt you will find a War Memorial. This memorial marks the site where two Afrikaaner rebels were executed during the Anglo-Boer War.
Kenhardt is a small town with a lot of history, and this history needs to be shared with all who travel through the area. This is the first cache in the area, and should there be any cachers who live close to the area, they are requested to contact me regarding this area.
At the time of creating this cache I have not yet been able to find a lot of information on this site, but will be doing a lot more research on it and adding the info for all to learn more about this little town. Please be sure to place the cache where found. The cache is a nano container so please BYOP.

FTFCongratulations to
