This is the ninth of a weekly series dedicated to Bagpuss. Episode nine was first broadcast at 1:45 pm on Tuesday 9th April 1974.
Synopsis:
To Yaffle's apparent disgust, Emily brings in another collection of broken objects - this time pieces of a porcelain statue that the mice try to restore. After a couple of failed attempts, Bagpuss tells the story of a clumsy giant who broke a model of himself. The statue is magically mended, and Yaffle describes it as the smallest giant in the world. To the mice it still seems large, so Gabrielle and Madeleine sing a song about size and scale.
