Fenwick Island may be a vacation town to you but it's really just like any small town. Without a senior center or community hall, the only church in town, St. Matthews By-The-Sea, welcomes folks to use their community hall and those friendly folks are used to welcoming visitors to their quilting, crafting, senior activities and music jam sessions. So if it isn't a beach day or you are looking for a break from sun burn, check out the town website or bulletin boards for locations, days, and times. The town just finished a new playground area, shuffleboard courts, a one on one basketball court, a kayak launch and water trails on Little Assawoman Bay. There are Christmas gatherings in the park, story times at the playground, community bonfires and movies on the beach. It really is a great, caring little town and most of the activities are within walking distance so be sure to enjoy all the town has to offer. P.S. Don't forget all the other geocaches in Fenwick Island. There are quite a few.
