This place can be muggle central in summer so please be careful and use stealth!
This grade 2 listed bridge was originally constructed in 1877 and crosses the River Till, it was closed to road traffic in 2012 after being deemed unsafe and is now only open to foot and cycle traffic. From here there is a lovely walk to Etal which extends along the river once you reach the village.
There is a picnic spot nearby at the mill which is water powered and still grinds grain today. Toilets are also located near the mill.
Geo-Dad Martyn loves to say hello to fellow Geocachers or wave to children on the bridge as he drives the train under it, so please do say hello if he happens to be driving.
Update Jan 2024, new container after the duck got washed away in the November floods.
