Geocache Description:

The Cache:

The cache is a 500ml camo sistema placed at an historical place. It has a FTF wooden geocoin, a couple of pathtags and some other bits.

This was originally going to be hidden at the Exmouth airstrip on a barge I was led to believe was part of the potshot operation, this turned out not to be the case hence it is now here.

The History:

In world war two a forward base was needed to service the submarines which were the only means of offensive at the time. Hence Exmouth operations commenced, code named 'Potshot'

I wont go into much more detail here as this site has fantastic information, and you can also find out more about it Here

*update 28-08-16, Please place cache back where you find it not where you think it should be, there a number of reasons why it is where it is

Enjoy

Tonno87 has agreed to help maintain this cache when I cannot, that's when they find it of course
