This cache is part of the TCAatSC series. This cache is located on the Blue Trail, otherwise known as the Teepee Loop. The Blue Trail starts and ends at the Tomahawk Shelter. The loop runs below the main grove areas and is approximately 2 miles long. You can access the Blue Trail from numerous trail heads, that are connected to parking lots for many of the shelters, as well as by the Tennis Courts. The parking coordinates given below will be for parking at the tennis courts, at the Tomahawk Shelter, and Iroquois Shelter. The cache that you are seeking is regular sized pill bottle.
As you hike through Settler’s Cabin, you will traverse many different areas. You will travel through meadows, dense forests, open trails, cross-streams, climb and descent several hills, and no doubt get muddy depending on how the weather has been lately. Some of the caches are located right along the trail, while others are ways back and will require a bit of bushwhacking. All caches have been placed in a way that they should be enjoyable and should be able to be found. Remember to take a pen, pencil, crayon, lipstick, etc. to use to sign the log sheet. Any log that says you did not sign the log sheet, will be deleted without prior warning.
Please note that Settler’s Cabin is open from 8 AM to Dusk daily. This means ABSOLUTELY no night caching! Please abide to this rule so there are no problems with county police and the parks office. All caches have been approved by the county park system, so they know these caches are here. Be mindful of your surroundings, as muggles will be scene on the trails.
