Another breathtaking view from up here - have you been here before?
Great view to Craigellachie and the River Spey!
And another interesting view to the industrial site of a well known distillery which once used to have a good reputation - when watching the changes going on at that site, remember: what did they tell us about the traditional art of Whisky making? About the advantages of keeping and using the old traditional dungeon warehouses which should provide the best atmophere and ideal temperature for the maturation of the best whiskies here in Speyside. And what are they doing now? And they promised NO visual impact, when changing the site and building the giant bio mass plant - even they paint it green, the impact is visible. Well - big money has the force to change the beauty of Speyside! Future will tell, if they will regret these decision sooner or later.
However - the view here is amazing, especially at sunset. Enjoy! Lovely walk with the dogs to that spot.
Unfortunately until now this is a dead end path here - so there is no official path to the caches at the lower trail which can be seen from here. So either be brave and go cross country downhill towards the cache "Last tree standing" for about 120 m or return and stay on the trails.
Congratulation to Scoobydoopoo and Niko for being the FTF here!
Too my deep regret the original container with the attached map has been ripped off by someone, just the strap has been left behind at the tree. Left a new container today May 3, 2016 ,- sorry I don't have the original attached map anymore. However I left a guard there to protect the cache. Happy caching.
