Kätkö kuuluu sarjaan, joka esittelee Urho Kekkosen Kansallispuistoa ja Suomujoen latvaosaa. Suomujoki kuuluu Tulomajoen vesistöön kuten pohjoisempi haara Luttojoki. Pääosa vesistöstä on Venäjän puolella. Joki laskee Kuolan niemimaalla Muurmanskin kaupungin kohdalla Barentsinmereen. Suomen puolella Urho Kekkosen Kansallispuiston aluetta halkovalta vedenjakajalta pohjoiseen ja koilliseen lähtevät joet kuuluvat Tulomajoen vesistöön kun puolestaan etelään ja lounaaseen virtaavat haarat kuuluvat Kemijoen vesistöön laskien Perämereen.

This cache belongs to a series of caches presenting Urho Kekkonen national park and the headwaters of river Suomu (the Finnish word suomu means fish scale in English). Suomu river belongs to the Tuloma river water system, as well as the other branch Lutto river. Main part of this water system lies in Russia. Tuloma river empties into Barents see at Murmansk town in Kuola peninsula. The national park is divided into two water systems. Rivers flowing to the north or northeast belong to the Tuloma river water system and the ones flowing to the south and southwest belong to the Kemijoki river water system emptying into the Bay of Bothnia (part of Baltic See).
