King Penguin Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

TheAwesomePenguins: Well, it looks like the time for this series has run its course. 2 of the caches are missing and I have lost the redirects needed for the final. So, regretfully pulling the 5 caches from the forest and hopefully someone else can populate it with some new caches.

Cache was present, but has been removed. Thanks to everyone who came out and searched for this series. They were some of our first hides and hopefully people had a great hike to find them

Geocache Description:

The Meister Tract (now know as the Penguin Tract...lol) is a small hiking trail. It previously had several caches hidden in here, but I was not lucky enough to look for any of them. So, I placed a few in here for others to find, and perhaps some people who have been here before can revisit the area. In the forest you will likely see or see traces of deer, wild turkey, coyote, a variety of birds and other small woodland creatures.

CACHE IS NOT AT POSTED COORDINATES. You will find a clue in each of the 4 Penguin caches in this forest (Chinstrap, Yellow Eyed, Fiordland and Little Blue/Fairy Penguins). Using those clues it shouldn't be too difficult to figure out the coordinates for this mystery cache. You will not need to leave this forest to find the cache

There are 5 different prizes in the log bag, for the first 5 people who find this final stage in the "penguin Tract". (The first person can choose which one they want, the second gets 2nd pick, etc)

The King Penguin is the 2nd largest penguin species. It can grow to an average length of 90cm and 12-14kg. It breeds primarily in Antarctica and the islands surrounding there. There are apprioximately 2 million pairs wordlwide.

There is a "No Hunting" sign posted at the main gate, however use your discretion when hiking in here, just in case.
