Geocache Description:

A short walk along a high ridge overlooking Lowlands Beach and Lowlands Second Beach



Not far from the road near Lowlands Beach is a short walk along a high ridge, offering views of the main Lowlands Beach, as well as views of Lowlands Second Beach. This cache will give you opportunity to see both beaches from this stunning viewpoint high above the waterline.

To get here, take Lower Denmark Rd, turn onto Tennessee Road South, and drive almost to the end of the gravel road. You can get fairly close to the cache with a 4WD, but I'd recommend just parking along Tennessee Rd Sth and walking in via the Bibbulmun track (roadside entry point is S 35° 04.337 E 117° 31.275), which is only about a 10-15 minute walk to the cache. When walking in, where the Bibbulmun crosses a 4WD track, turn left onto the 4WD track. The ridge walk is only about 500m long, and can be accessed from this 4WD track in two locations (see the two waypoints listed as trailheads).



The cache itself is about halfway along the ridge walk, and just a short distance away from an obvious lookout point. Do take the time to walk the entire path between the two waypoints all the way along the ridge, because the ocean views here are just beautiful, and it shouldn't take much more than 5 minutes to do the entire 500m ridge walk.

Cache is a clear plastic 200mL sistema container. We have deliberately made it fairly easy to find (see the hint for an obvious clue), because this cache is all about the location. We placed it here to share another jewel of the rainbow coast, and to help bring other geocachers here to enjoy this wonderful spot.
