The SQ in the cache name above signifies Spirit Quest, a project to distinguish those caches that are set in cemeteries or memorial gardens. I feel this is a good distinction to put on this type of cache and I like to do these types of caches. Please be respectful of the area, and observe their rules and posted hours, Only visit cemeteries dawn to dusk through out the state unless other hours are posted, so that we do not end up like other states that do not allow any caches placed in any cemeteries.
Michigan law states that you are only permitted to visit cemeteries dawn to dusk throughout the state unless other hours are posted.

SQ - Erin Grove Cemetery
Welcome to Erin Grove Cemetery. You will be starting your adventure at the flag pole that was donated by the Roseville Historical & Genealogical Society. While you take your short walk through the cemetery you will be collecting a few numbers to solve the mystery of where the final resting place of the cache you are looking for is located. Make sure to write down the date that the flag pole was donated.
From the flag pole you will be able to see a month of the year plain as day. Walk over to that nice summer month and look for Sophia and Wilson. Please take note of their Birth and Death years.
After your visit with Sophia and Wilson walk about 30 ft. north and find the Schneiders. There are a few to see in this area so be very observant of the names that you will need. Some Schneiders have very similar names but you must find the correct ones to find the cache. You will need birth and death years for Cora L. and Fred L. W. Schneider. Once you have found these numbers walk 101 ft. at a heading of 134 degrees and you will find 20 bricks.
When you find the bricks take a few minutes to read them. I thought this was a very nice way to show how much the family cared about their loved ones. We will give the bricks numerical values the top row left to right down to the bottom row. The upper left corner will be #1 and the bottom right hand corner will be #20. Just like reading a book.
We will be projecting a waypoint from the location of the bricks using magnetic north. You can either use the magnetic north setting in your GPSr or use a reliable compass.
Now to use all the information you have gathered:
The flag pole was donated in what year?
Sophia was born in what year?
Fred L.W. died in what year?
Add all these years together then subtract 5603 to get your Degrees. Then add 180 degrees to that.
Wilson died what year?
Fred L.W. died what year?
Which brick says “Best dad and grandpa ever”?
Add all these together then subtract 3750 to get your Feet.
You will be looking for a small black container with a few trinkets and a log sheet.
Hope you enjoyed your little walk through Erin Grove Cemetery.
